Three-time Grammy Award winner DEE DEE BRIDGEWATER is a jazz visionary at the utmost tier of vocalists. In the 70s, this Memphis native was a member of the Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Big Band and also performed with jazz notables Max Roach, Sonny Rollins, Dexter Gordon and Dizzy Gillespie. A Tony Award Winner, producer, and record label head, she recently won the NEA Jazz Masters Fellows Award in April 2017. Bridgewater’s highly-anticipated album “Memphis…Yes, I’m Ready,” released fall 2017, imbibes her love of vintage soul and blues with fierce passion.
